Fertilizers
The fertilizer library, country catalog, bulk edit
Overview
The fertiliser library holds the products behind every recommendation. When you create a recommendation, SoilBeat looks in the grower’s own library first. Only when a product is missing does it draw from our country catalogue. So the more complete the list, with nutrients and prices, the more accurate and realistic the recommendation. Open it with Farm Setup → Fertilizers in the side menu.
The library belongs to the grower’s workspace, not to the agronomist.
Add your fertilisers
There are three ways:
- Upload with AI: upload .xls files, product PDFs or screenshots and AI chat fills in the details.
- Import CSV: add a whole list in one go. The columns in your file need to match SoilBeat’s fields.
- Add fertilizer: enter a single product by hand.
Finding this tricky? Send us your files through Support → Chat with us and we’ll set up the library for you. Working with several growers? We can also copy the library across them.
Nutrients, rates and prices
Break each product down into its nutrients, and add the application rate and price. Recommendations calculate with these numbers. Missing values mean less accurate advice and no reliable cost estimate.
Origin, approach and certifications
Each fertiliser has:
- an origin: animal, organic or synthetic
- a farming approach
- certifications
Together with each zone’s certification and approach, this helps recommendations suggest products that fit the way the grower farms.
Find and edit products
- Search by name, or click the arrow next to a column name to filter, for example only organic products.
- Edit many at once: tick the products, click Edit, and fill in only the fields you want to change in Bulk edit. Blank fields keep each product’s current value.
The country catalogue
A countrywide database of fertilisers built by SoilBeat. Click Country catalogue to browse it. Recommendations use it to fill the gaps in the grower’s own library.
