Overview

Announcements let you reach many growers at once: alert them to an outbreak, a risk or a seasonal reminder in one go, instead of sending emails one by one. Write the message, choose exactly which farms and zones should get it, and optionally add an activity straight to their task list. Open it with Communication → Announcements in the side menu.

Send an announcement

1. Go to Communication → Announcements.
2. Click New announcement.
3. Write your message: add a subject and a message. For example: “Rapid canopy expansion: check new growth protection.”
4. Choose who gets it (see below).
5. Optional: add an activity (see below).
6. Click Publish, or Save draft if you’re not ready yet.

Choose who gets it

Narrow down your audience, for example potato growers in the Netherlands:

• Ownership: all farms, the farms you own, or farms you were invited to
• Crop and variety: matched to the crop of each management zone
• Country, state and place: taken from each farm’s address
• Area: a minimum or maximum number of hectares

Then check the matching zones and untick any you want to leave out.

Add an activity (optional)

Turn your advice into a task. The activity is created once for every selected zone and date, and lands in each grower’s Activities, which makes doing and recording it easier.

1. Choose the activity type.
2. Assign it.
3. Pick a date. Without a date, no activity is created.

Products can only be added when the announcement goes to a single farm.

What happens when you publish

• The message lands in your growers’ inbox by email. Sending it on WhatsApp is coming soon, expected end of October 2026.
• Any activity appears in their Activities.
• The announcement shows up in their Notification Center.
